Norbit/Power Tap
June 9, 2007 on 2:41 pm | In General Posts, Movies, Comedy | No CommentsRented Norbit the other night. It was pretty funny. Not as hilarious as I was hoping it would be. I thought the best part was in the bonus features. Power Tap.

The new Incredible Hulk is….
April 16, 2007 on 3:37 pm | In General Posts, Movies | 1 CommentWell, I just heard that the new Incredible Hulk movie lead goes to Edward Norton. Should be good since I wasn’t to convinced that Eric Bana was the best pick for the first one. Should be good and I have heard it isn’t a sequel which is even better. Hopefully, this one is more brutally violent that the other one. I’m a big fan of the TV show so I am looking foward to this now.
DVD rental of the week…The Prestige
April 15, 2007 on 1:59 pm | In General Posts, Movies | No CommentsLike I mentioned before, I rent quite a few movies. Some are real stinkers and some I really enjoy so much that I consider buying them. I used to buy A LOT of dvds but now I mostly rent. I even purchased a new pc that has a HD DVD drive built in. I cry when I think about buying the same movies I already have on standard dvd on a new format, but that’s a different story.
Anyways, I would like to use a this blog to tell you about some of the movies that I found to be worthwhile and some that were just pure crap. I’ll start from this point on and maybe later I will discuss some of the past movies I have rented.
I watched The Prestige this week. Starring Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman, The Prestige is a intriguing story about two competing magicians obsessed with topping each other. Sure it sounds kind of lame but the movie takes quite a turn into a real thought provoking mind bender. I don’t want to give away the surprise ending, prestige so they call it, but the movie should keep you guessing if you really pay close attention to what is going on. I really enjoyed this dvd and would consider buying it. The last dvd that I think I enjoyed this much and purchased was Mulholland Drive.
Along with The Prestige I also rented a stinker called Sublime. I love horror films but it is real hard to find a good one. This one tried way to hard to take itself seriously and just didn’t seem to generate any interest from me throughout the film. Besides a cool cover art for the box, this movie pretty much sucked in my opinion. Don’t bother renting this one unless you want to see if your fast foward feature still works on your player.
